"Charles Robert….selfishly my favorite memory of this cutie was on my wedding day in 1988. He flawlessly performed the duty of ring bearer and added so much joy and love to our special day. Worth noting that his cousin, Meredith, is with him as our beautiful flower girl. We love you, Chaddy! You will forever play a very important role in all of our lives."

"Well i am the Mother of Chad, or the MOC as it were.Chad came into the world in much the way you see him today. Big, very, very big.It was a very long 40+ hour experience. That being said, whatever we had to go through to get Chad out here was made so worthwhile when I stood outside the nursery window at the hospital and people commented on the gargantuan child who was in the bassinet on the left. “The poor mother!”, I heard someone say. Poor mother? I don’t think so, the lucky mother, the Lucky MOC. Me. Joey.Chad is the first born son, and has always been any mom‘s dream. Although he can be stubborn at times, unlike his mother, he can also be the sweetest and kindest son in the world. (Of course Jake can be too, but this is Chad’s site.)I have LOVED being his mom and I’m so blessed to have spent 43 years with him as my son. Through all of the incarnations of Chad, I think the music phase was the best and most fun. Although I have to say the football/sports phase was pretty fun too. Following Chad around to all of the concerts with LSKI, Bridges Fell, and Audio Revival was a blast! I got to live out a groupie/band-mom dream which I will always cherish. I think Chad was living his best life when he was an active musician playing out.I think most of us will agree that Bassist Chad is the real Chad.Charles is this Chad‘s given name. He was named after my father Charles Francis Magers. My dad was a Chad too in the best sense of the word. His mother called him Chad and so did his friends. My brother is a Charles/Chad, also a unique individual with a big heart.I guess you could say we had a trio of Chads, a Chadtych, and now we have Chippy who is also a Charles, although has not been called Chad as of this writing. I guess we have a Chadtravaganza in this family.Chad is the kind of son who if he looks at me and I have mascara under my eye (or on the side of my face) or a piece of lipstick that has gone missing, and is found now way above my upper lip, Chad will fix it.“Let me get that”.Who does that except a Chad, or your gay son, or a daughter?🤭Chad always gives me a kiss hello and goodbye, with a big, real hug. Sigh.Chad laughs at the same jokes, same movies… and the same slapstick humor makes us both cry with laughter. So Chad’s have gotten a bad rap lately and it has pained me as the MOC. I demand a return to the respect of the Chad’s of old.I demand that we see this Chad in the light in which he was originally named as Charles: “A Free Man. Husband”. (Didn’t know that then btw, I just liked the name.) In German, Karl. In Latin, Carolus. Spanish, Carlo. The other GPT says Chad is also a given name derived from the Old English name Ceadda, which means "protector" or "defender". We can all attest it’s true.Chaddy, I will be your protector forever, and the Defender of your name until my last breath. Even after, I will come and haunt anyone who dares defile the name in any way. You know I will. I will always be your Chadvocate of the highest order, the Celestial Chadvocate.Thank you for being the most Chadlike Chad to all of us. Your kindness, unconditional love and humor are such a gift to me. To all of us. You are, well….Chadtastic!!I am so proud to be the MOC.

"There have been several times that, at the last minute, I've needed a Chad to help me lift very heavy things and, without skipping a beat, Chad has always dropped what he's been doing (hopefully not something heavy and on someone else's foot) to come and help. That's who Chads really are. Chads are the best." -- Joe Hassan, Chadvocate since 2006.

Reflections on my oldest son Chad (Yes, that's right -- I'm a Chad Dad.)
and one of my two best friends in the world:
At 77 years old, I count myself among the luckiest on the planet when I think of Chad. When Chad and Nita moved to RI from NYC during COVID I was secretly pleased despite the upheaval that COVID caused in everyone’s life and certainly theirs as City Folk. But when they purchased a house in RI , my spirits and my soul leapt for joy! Having been the kind of parent that believes in raising my children to face any challenge with grit and fortitude, I suppose the “ roots and wings” analogy fits !! Growing up Chad was the Apple of My Eye and has evolved into my rock ! His consistent dependability, reliability and innate intelligence are a constant source of strength to me!! I never hesitate to seek his perspective and input on a variety of matters ( especially technology:)!
In a greater sense, Chad is exactly the kind of human we all strive to be, kind, honest, caring, compassionate and humble. Love you so much Charles Robert- Happy Birthday!!🎁
"I always thought I’d be the next Madonna. Didn’t happen. Something else that will never happen is having a roll in the hay with the terribly handsome and hunky Chad. Why? Well…. 1: He’s straight, and unfortunately very secure in his heterosexuality. 🙄 2: He’s married, and I I’m pretty sure that the very beautiful Nita would completely Chad-block me. 💃 3: I’m married and my spouse has no idea I am writing this testimonial. 😱 But that’s the Power of Chad. It’s hard to be in his towering presence and not have flights of fancy! Plus, he’s a really good guy, with a ton of creative talent, and he’s into Kylie Minogue. So what’s not to like? So let’s raise a glass and say Cheers to the Best Chad in The Whole Wide World!! 😍😍😍" -- Gavin C.J. Hart, who, could still very well become the next Madonna.

"I’m a cat. (Meowrrrr.) So, if we’re being honest, I generally have nothing positive to say about humans. They are here to serve specific purposes: House me. Feed me. Leave me alone. Love me (but only the 11.3% of the time when I want to be loved, and it’s on you, human, to figure out when that Zenn Diagram is active.)That said, I must admit that Chad is an extremely great Cat Dad.[Pardon me while I cough up a hairball. Compliments are difficult to swallow.]Sure, sometimes he is a bit aggressive when he scoops me up off of the floor for snuggles (out of absolutely nowhere.)For a (somewhat oafishly) large human, I do not yet understand how he can hunt so stealthily. I shall continue to research this in order to inform my own hunting prowess. Also, Chad is very forgiving when, for no reason other than feline spite, I decide to break pottery, glassware or any other expensive-looking objects that my humans (collectively, “Chita,” oh – the irony!) leave on surfaces high enough to shatter, when casually (accidentally? Lolz, no - everything I do is calculated) pushed. In all seriousness, however, Chad and Nita are amazing “pawrents.” I love them so much. And I love it when Chad "pets me with his eyes."However, I will deny anything said in this review at my own discretion.Oh, one thing. The food they serve could be better. #meowr."– Maggie May (Cat.)

"To Chad, On Your Birthday. To Chad Flaherty—my dearest mate,
A legend true, a twist of fate.
With golden hair and jock-ish grace,
A heart of gold and handsome face.Upon your wall, where dreams give birth,
A map resides—of Middle Earth.
A sign that deep within your soul,
Adventure burns, and makes you whole. You lend a hand, you lift, you guide,
With kindness always at your side.
From flat tires to tech despair,
You show up strong, you're always there. You're Noor and Amal’s shining star,
The sweetest uncle, best by far.
With laughter, games, and love so wide,
They light up when you're by their side. With joystick gripped and eyes aglow,
In virtual worlds, you steal the show.
But in real life, your worth runs deep.
A loyal bond I’ll always keep. From London’s streets to Paris nights,
Brussels’ charm and Barça’s lights,
Those trips we took, I hold so dear—
The memories still ring so clear. You're brilliant, strong, and always true,
There’s truly nothing you can't do.
You solve each mess with ease and flair,
The world is better ‘cause you care.So here's to you, my truest friend,
A bond that time will never end-I love you more than words can say—
Happy, happy Birthday Chadddddddday! -- Courtney, Gian, Noor, Amal (and written by Lando.)

"Chad matured physically at an absurdly early age. Almost too early—so early that students mistook him for a chaperone at junior high dances.I remember vacationing in Arizona with Chad when he was around 12 or 13, and I was maybe 9 or 10. I’d made friends with a kid at the hotel pool who asked, “Are you here with your family?”“Yup,” I said, “my brother’s right over there.”The kid turned to see Chad standing under a towering man-made waterfall, maybe 15 feet high, casually washing himself like he was auditioning for a cologne commercial. He looked like a strange hybrid of adolescent and full-grown man—complete with mutton chop sideburns ripped straight from the ‘70s and a chest that was already sprouting hair like desert brush. The Arizona sun caught the water droplets on his weirdly overdeveloped shoulders and biceps, making him shimmer like some kind of freakish Greek god.The kid snapped his head back to me, eyes wide in horror, and whispered:“Dude… does your brother have a disease??, or is he just that awesome?" -- Jake
